Let the games begin! In just a few hours London will try to impress the world when it hosts the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics. From now through August 12th more than 10,500 athletes from 204 nations will compete in 26 sports, including swimming, diving, gymnastics, wrestling, track and field, boxing and tennis. New York Lights the Way for the Summer Olympics

New York is sizzling hot… with Olympic fever. Despite the fact that the Summer Games are taking place a half a world away (and technically the Opening Ceremonies are already over), beginning tonight New York’s Empire State Building will pay tribute to the Olympics by illuminating the four sides of the famed tower with the colors of countries’ flags. Educational Programs for Kids in Hawaii

In a previous blogs I mentioned that you would regret traveling all the way to Hawaii and not visiting the state’s most famous tourist attraction–Pearl Harbor Naval Base. The base is home to the USS Arizona, the USS Utah, the Battleship Missouri, the USS Missouri Memorial, and the newest addition to the area, the Pacific Aviation Museum on Pearl Harbor’s Ford Island.
